Recruiting International Potential for Austrian Higher Education Institutions: Obstacles and Opportunities during the New (Ab)normal

About the online event:

Austria’s location in the centre of Europe has manifold connections and offers a wide range of cultural activities, a high quality of living, a high level of public safety and last but not least high-quality teaching standards. This makes it a particularly attractive destination for international students from all over the world.
Providing the essential know-how and infrastructure for international students therefore has major priority in ensuring Austria’s prominent position on the academic map. The situation of recruiting international potential has not become easier at all with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Together with the Webster Vienna Private University as co-organiser, this conference will deal with topics such as English language skills (examinations and certificates), visa issues, housing of international students as well as horizontal and transversal recognition issues, especially for the group of international prospective students and applicants at Austrian higher education institutions. Recruiting is the overarching topic.

Target Groups:
rectors‘, presidents‘ and directors’ offices, recruiting offices, strategy and marketing offices, international offices, admission offices, study law offices, ombuds offices, student housing offices, student union representatives, accreditation teams

After registration we will provide you with more relevant information on the conference topics, with biographies of the speakers, and information on how to access the meeting.

The personal data necessary for the organisation of the event will be processed by machine and stored. The whole event will be recorded and made available via the web later. With your registration you declare your consent to this.
